Ethiopian Embassy in Nigeria partakes in Trade and Tourism Promotion Exhibition

The FDRE Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria has participated in the 15th Abuja International Trade Fair which was held from November 24-December 4, 2020.
At the opening ceremony, the embassy briefed investors and media professionals on its activities to boost trade between Nigeria and Ethiopia, Ethiopia’s alluring business environment for foreign investment, and its many potential tourism resources.
Besides holding the traditional coffee brewing ceremony, the Ethiopian pavilion showcased the country’s coffee products, including YA Coffee, Hela Coffee, KT Coffee, Birra Coffee, Mohamedisa & Hamziya Coffee, Enabe Coffee, and Tomoca Coffee.
The exhibition also featured traditional costumes and works of famous Ethiopian painters on tourism sites, as well as brochures promoting investment opportunities in Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian pavilion gathered a large crowd that showed interest in understanding the business opportunities and culture of Ethiopia.
The event was covered by both the public and private media in Nigeria, and NCBN interviewed a member of the Ethiopian mission about our country’s participation in the exhibition.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Minister of Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, Muhammad Musa Bello, Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, and President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, attended the opening ceremony.
The Ethiopian mission took the opportunity to discuss with Nigerian investors who are interested in working with Ethiopian coffee suppliers and engage in other investment opportunities in the country.
