Get those coins ready! Burna Boy will make a stop in New York City next spring. The Nigerian artist will be performing at Madison Square Garden on Apr. 28 for his “One Night in Space” global tour. He will also be making history as the first Nigerian artist to headline at the famous venue.
“It’s a really exciting time!” Burna Boy said in an interview with Rolling Stone. “A kid from the south side of Nigeria headlining Madison Square Garden in New York as the first-ever Nigerian to achieve this! Not sure it gets any better, and I’m extremely grateful!”
It’s been an epic ride for the Nigerian artist since the release of his album “African Giant,” which received a Grammy nominee for Best World Album. He first found international acclaim from his hit single “Ye” in 2018. He also won Best International Act at the 2021 BET Awards.
