Kelechi Iheanacho has said the Super Eagles must get their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign back on track with a win against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

The three-time African champions held minnows Lesotho to a 1-1 draw in their first game on Thursday.

The Super Eagles will be up against Zimbabwe at the Huye Stadium, Butare on Sunday.

Iheanacho, who had the honour of captaining the team against Lesotho expressed disappointment with the outcome of the game against Leslie Notsi’s side.

The Leicester City midfielder who bagged an assist against Lesotho stated that they must go all out for a win against Zimbabwe.

“Huge honour to captain the boys yesterday I know this was a game we have to win but we didn’t. We got a point from it Hopefully we would do a lot more in the next game and get 3 points,” he posted.

The encounter against Zimbabwe will kick-off at 2pm Nigeria time.
