Super Eagles defender Jamilu Collins says the team is battle ready for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against Lesotho.
Jose Peseiro’s side will begin their quest for a place in the global fiesta with an home fixture against the Likuena.
The matchday one fixture is billed for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The Super Eagles will be desperate to be part of the party in USA, Mexico and Canada in 2026 after missing out the last time in Qatar.
Collins stated that he and his teammates are looking to start their campaign in style.
“We are excited for the games coming up, everyone called up is looking forward to it,” the left-back told the Super Eagles media.
“The mindset is Let’s do it again , the one you guys are promoting at the moment . We believe in Nigerians, we know they will always support us. We are always grateful to the fans for their support. We want to give them a good result.”
Collins recently returned to the national team set up after an achilles tendon injury kept him on the sidelines for almost a year.
