The Warriors of Zimbabwe started preparations for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Kigali on Friday (today).
The Warriors boycotted training on Thursday demanding their dues from the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA).
According to the Herald, ZIFA had to run around to ensure they deposited the money into the players’ accounts on Thursday night to avert another stand-off ahead of the clash with the Super Eagles.
Meanwhile, Admiral Muskwe sat out today’s session due to a muscular injury suffered against Rwanda.
Baltemar Brito’s side held Rwanda to a 0-0 draw in their opening fixture at the Huye Stadium, Butare on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles played out a 1-1 draw against the Likuena of Lesotho.
