Victor Boniface has won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for the third consecutive time.
Boniface beat Xavi Simons and Brajan Gruda to the award.
The 22-year-old won the award in August and September.
The Nigeria international scored once and provided one assist in three league appearances for Bayer Leverkusen in the month.
The former Bodo/Glimt player scored the only goal in Leverkusen’s UEFA Europa League clash against Qarabag on Thursday night.
The forward had 15 attempts on goal during the month – a league-high – taking his tally to 54 for the campaign, well ahead of Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane (36) who has the next-most attempts across the German top flight.
To cap off his October, Boniface also scored his maiden international goal for Nigeria, having only made his debut in September.
He has netted 10 times and recorded six assists in 14 appearances across all competitions for Xabi Alonso’s side this season.
