Senate leader to Nigerians: Be patient, Tinubu’s policies will tackle economic difficulties

The Senate leader, Opeyemi Bamidele at the weekend told Nigerians to exercise patience till next year and see how President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies would tackle economic difficulties in the country.

The Senate leader dropped the hint while fielding questions from newsmen at the funeral ceremony of Dr. Charles Akinola’s, former Chief of Staff the ex-governor of Osun state, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola’s Mother in Ilesa.

According to him, as difficult as the times are, it is also a time that will show the ingenuity of leadership and we have a leader today, in the person of President Bola Tinubu, who I know has a scientific understanding of what is to be done and will do Nigeria proud and will bring to bear, his own intellectual acumen in ensuring that our issues are addressed so life could become more meaningful for Nigerians”.

“Nigeria economy is going through difficult times, but the President knows what to be done to pull it out of the woods. ”

“Nigerians are experiencing difficult times due to the global economic crisis, but President Tinubu has a grasp of the situation and understands what is required to make life better for Nigerians.

“The budget of the year 2024 is going to be a budget of reality, that of a renewed hope and a budget that will help re-chat our course as a nation.

“There is no doubting the fact that this is an unusual time in the life of our country, the entire global economy is in crisis and Nigeria is not an exception, but when the going gets tough, it is said that the tough gets going”, he stressed.

Commenting on the deceased, Bamidele said, “the late Madam Akinola was a woman who lived a life of service to the nation and tutored many prominent Nigerians, especially in the northern part of the country.”

He however remarked, “I will miss my mother for a lot of reasons, first, she was a pillar of support. She is a woman of solid stealthy determination, in the last two to three years, she has shown sheer strength and positivity. She represents solid positivity which has become a value for the family. She confronted life with determination.”
