Besides Tobi who takes after his father as a preacher, Dapo Adegboyega, a brother to Tobi is also an ordained preacher in SPAC, Nigeria.

After his formal education, Tobi Adegboyega moved to London from Lagos, Nigeria in 2005. On arrival in London, he shared a room with his cousin, John Adedayo Bamidele Adegboyega who is popularly called John Boyega. John Boyega is an actor. John Boyega’s father is Samson Adegboyega who is also a Pentecostal minister and preacher in Camberwell district of London.

No big deal for members of the church to give at least £1,000 a month to the church, and that he needed to make £1 million monthly.
One member of the church, Nino said that Tobi asked him for £20,000. The pastor said he needed it for an investment. While the church denied these allegations, Adegboyega declined an interview with BBC Panorama on this.
In January 2020, Croydon North MP Steve Reed accused the church of financial exploitation and fraud. But this allegation is not established because police refuse to launch a criminal enquiry into the allegation.
There are many other allegations of financial misappropriation and fraud that are raised against Pastor Tobi.
In 2019 SPAC Nation was accused of pressuring youths to sell blood.
Philanthropy – The Good Side of Pastor Tobi
Victoria Derbyshire in 2018 made a research of SPAC Nation, London and reported that Adegboyega had 14 ex-criminals living with him. Tobi took him the ex-convicts immediately they are released from prison with the aim that they don’t fall back into crime. He encourages former gang members to quit crime and gives them new means of life.
In 2019, he started poverty alleviation program for youths in Lagos State with creation of jobs through the waste management business.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he gave relief materials to the less deprived, most populated communities and villages in Nigeria, Tanzania and Ghana. Tobi Adegboyega extended the same gesture to some states of the UK and Europe.
He hosted a breakfast with the Financial Times and with other leaders present to discuss opportunities available to Nigerian youth.
