Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta has labelled Kelechi Iheanacho a ”proven player”.
Pimienta also backed the Nigeria international to deliver the goods for the club.
Iheanacho joined the former UEFA Europa League champions on a free transfer this summer.
The 27-year-old is however yet to hit the ground running at the club.
The gaffer believed the fans will soon start seeing the best of the striker.
“Everyone, whoever plays up front tomorrow (today) as to do well. Kelechi is a proven player, Pimienta told the club’s official website.
” The other day he had a difficult game because he came on without warming up. Just like the rest, he has to take a step forward because he has the quality to do it at Sevilla.’
Sevilla will host Real Valladolid in a LaLiga clash at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Tuesday (today).
