For United Kingdom-based gospel singer and songwriter, Osayemwenre Edosa, better known as Minister Osaye, what began as a childhood passion has blossomed into a ministry rooted in worship and service to God.
From her early age, she knew that music was her divine calling as she was surrounded by melodies that shaped her heart and spirit whilst growing up as a child in Benin City, Edo State. She led songs at home, in school, and eventually in church.
Her latest single My Case Is Different, which was inspired by a personal experience, is her testimony of God’s divine faithfulness. According to her, after undergoing surgery and navigating a season of recovery, she encountered God’s sustaining presence in a profound way.
“My Case Is Different is a sound of hope through worship, proclaiming God’s unique plan for His children. It’s a prophetic anthem that boldly declares victory and divine favour over life’s challenges, reminding listeners that their case is indeed different,” she said.
Still savouring the success of the single, Osaye is set to release a new single titled Blessed on October 17. The song, she says, is a joyful celebration of God’s goodness and a reminder that no matter the trials of life, believers are blessed beyond measure.
Born into a musically inclined family, she described her home as one filled with hymns, gospel tunes, and heartfelt worship, adding that though not all her relatives are professional musicians, the culture of music within the family has deeply influenced her journey.
Though her professional journey as a gospel artiste officially began a few years ago when she stepped into the studio to record and release her own music, she insists that her ministry truly began the first time she led worship in church, and since then, her path has been marked by growth, faith, and impactful encounters.
