Iwobi Equals Kanu’s Premier League Record In Fulham’s Win At West Ham

Alex Iwobi bagged an assist in Fulham’s 2-0 win against West Ham which saw him equal Nwankwo Kanu’s Premier League record.

It was Iwobi’s second assist in 25 appearances in the Premier League this season for the London club.

He set up Andreas Pereira for Fulham’s second goal in the 72nd minute.

Fulham went on a devastating counter-attack with Pereira exchanging passes Iwobi, before side footing home past West Ham goalkeeper.

Iwobi has now equaled Kanu’s record of most assists made by a Nigerian in Premier League history.

Kanu featured for Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth.

During his time at Arsenal Kanu won the Premier League, FA Cup and Community Shield.

At Portsmouth he won the FA Cup, scoring the only goal in the final against Cardiff City.
