NPFL: Remo Stars Reclaim Top Spot, Plateau United Down Lobi

Remo Stars have reclaimed top position in the the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Sky Blue Stars held their hosts Abia Warriors to 0-0 draw in a matchday 20 fixture.

Remo Stars top the standings with 36 points.

At the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers United defeated Doma United 3-2.

Captain Nyima Nwagua scored all three goals for the home team in the game.

Bidemi Owoku and Hilary Ekawu were on target for Doma United.

In Enugu, Rangers recorded a 1-0 victory against Akwa United.

Kazeem Ogunleye scored the decisive goal three minutes after the break.

Plateau United claimed a 3-2 win against Lobi Stars at the New Jos Stadium.

Mohammed Umar gave Plateau United the lead four minutes before the break, while Albert Hilary added the second in the 53rd minute.

Kumanga Suur reduced the deficit for the visitors three minutes later.

Elsewhere, Sporting Lagos defeated Bendel Insurance 1-0 with Tochukwu Michael scoring the winning goal.

Bayelsa United defeated Gombe United 2-0 at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.

Bashir Mansur scored an own goal to hand the hosts the lead on 13 minutes.

Ifeanyi Assurance make the points save by netting the second eight minutes from time.
